I was really pleased by this until I read “Experiencing the death of a spouse is like losing $308,780″ a year.” When an infographic make a claim that’s not even coherent (what does this mean for the vast majority of people who don’t earn $300k p.a.?) it casts doubt on the rest… I really hope I’ve badly misunderstood!
William MacAskill maybe it’s claiming that losing a spouse is 300K times worse than losing one marginal dollar for the median/average/something like that person?
