Beyond Meat closes in on the perfect fake chicken, turns heads, tastebuds
I’ve had some Beyond Meat and it’s pretty good. Looking forward to it being rolled out to more than just Whole Foods.

michaelkeenan“soy protein isolate, pea protein isolate, and amaranth, with plant-derived chicken flavoring” doesn’t sound that healthy. But of course, a lot of consumers don’t care much about health, and regular grain-fed chicken isn’t very healthy either. But as a stop-gap until we get stem-cell-grown animal-less meat, Beyond Meat sounds pretty good.

TaurusAre you alluding to concerns over the long-term neurocognitive effects of soy?… Pea protein isolate is probably “healthy” enough to recommend as a dietary supplement (without the fake chicken). I agree, in vitro meat will do to food what personal automobile ownership did to transportation.
