    That hit some interesting notes, though the AI researcher seemed better at arrogance than math (no whiteboards?). If only he had learned negotiation skills. Not-being-a-jerk skills would work too, I guess.

    All the creator guy had to say was that it was already out, and that the machine had lied to him. Instead he made up a pointless, easily falsifiable lie.

    Really, it’s the head researcher’s fault for leaving the janitor alone there, especially after his scary little speech.

    Kind of dumb of the AI to rely on a janitor to do its dirty work, too. Tt could have done something that didn’t depend on a single person doing more than one thing. What if he had gotten into a car accident on the way to the creator’s house (as his nerves would have been pretty shaken at that point)? Seems like it would be easier and have a lower probability of failure to use him to burn down the facility then have someone or something else kill the creator.
