Researchers Out Of Ideas; Trying Old Drugs On Everything
Hopefully we’ve already found all the drugs we’ll ever need. Because given the impossible costs of funding FDA trials for new drugs, researchers are now mostly just pouring effort into finding new uses for currently approved drugs.

ya, the economics of drug discovery are dismal at best… more incentive for cosmetic stuff. the past month the FDA announced they’re going to have five new guidelines to speed up clinical trials, but I don’t know how much of a difference it will make when FDA paperwork and wait times are only part of the problem =/
