Michigan Now Bragging About Their Students Dropping Out

UM has been reduced to (1) desperately trying to take credit for how great one of their engineering students is (since he got a Thiel Fellowship), while (2) simultaneously trying to avoid admitting that he just made an awesome life-choice by dropping out of their university. UM decided to euphemize his decision by saying he’s simply “jumping out” of college for now and “stepping out” to pursue life without a degree.

    I like how University of Michigan has to resort to calling it “Jumping Out” or “Stepping Out” in their newsletter when a student leaves after a year to pursue a Thiel Fellowship.
