‘Evidence Aid’ Wins $10,000 Unorthodox Prize

The winner of the 2013 unorthodox prize is:

Evidence Aid

An effort to provide resources to decision-makers and responders before, during, and after disasters and other humanitarian emergencies.

Congratulations to Evidence Aid!

Giving policy makers advice during emergencies and large-scale disasters seems incredibly high leverage (even if it is incredibly hard).

Wonder if the founders have studied cognitive biases? The people they are trying to advise are probably laboring under more of them than average. Maybe CFAR should reach out to them? Or perhaps CEA first, since they’re in the UK?
