Arq is a great backup solution for Macs:
- Robustly Secure
As a couple points of comparison, I’ve previously used both Mozy and ADrive. Mozy’s pricing is double or triple identical competitors and ADrive’s file retrieval interface is an antiquated Java app (bleck!).
Arq is fairly straightforward to use. But if I were setting up backups for a friend or relative who wasn’t technically savvy enough to manage an Amazon AWS account, I would probably get them Crashplan. It’s not as good, but it’s simpler to use and 1000x better than not having backups… even if it does offer less privacy, cost more, and expose customers to the very real possibility that Crashplan could go bankrupt and disappear with all their customers’ data.
